The Inner Meaning of Pilgrimage

Phil Hewitt from The Chichester Observer introduces Philip’s latest book, ‘Wandering Free in a Sacred Land’.

This travel journal from bygone days of unhampered freedom represents my current heartfelt response to our own critical times. I stress that we are clearly living through a perilous era just now and accordingly I am glad to have a fresh opportunity to describe as faithfully as I can my most significant early experiences when I began to follow my own path to the source of my existence – the ground of being.

Wandering Free in a Sacred Land – Finding Firm Faith in Bygone India offers the travel journal of a young English pilgrim, released by New Generation Publishing at £17.99.

It comes from 78-year-old Philip Pegler who lives in Midhurst

“This – my latest book – is the fourth spiritual work of mine to have been published in the last 12 years or so. However, this current project is a revision of a manuscript completed over 50 years ago and it is based on a three-month pilgrimage in India, which I undertook as a young man.”
